Missionaries serving in challenging places throughout the world often face difficulties when it comes to finding a safe and quality high school education for their children. Black Forest Academy, an established and accredited international Christian school for missionary kids located in Germany, is their answer. Haus Antioch will serve as a hospitality house to provide a safe and convenient place for missionary parents to stay adjacent to the school property when visiting their students. It will also serve as a base of operations for training, retreats, and meeting space for missionaries throughout Central Europe.
DESCRIPTION:
Phase One will purchase the property that will become Haus Antioch, which is within walking distance of Black Forest Academy. Once renovations are complete, it will be a hospitality house for Assemblies of God missionary families when they bring their students at the beginning of a semester, visit their students mid-semester, and pick them up at the semester’s end. In addition, it will also serve as a base of operations for the Assemblies of God in Central Europe for pastoral training, retreats, and church planting endeavors. The Haus Antioch facility contains three floors for offices, meeting rooms, living quarters, and self-contained guest rooms. Phase Two will convert an existing nursing home into dormitories to accommodate 75 more students, thus increasing capacity and helping decrease fees for missionary families to send their high school kids to Black Forest Academy.
BENEFITS:
Missionaries working in hard and often dangerous places will find peace of mind when they can choose Black Forest Academy for their teenagers. Students can thrive in a Christian environment and receive a safe, affordable, and premier education. Haus Antioch will help keep boots on the ground and eliminate the worry, hassle, and financial burden of where to stay when missionaries visit their students. It will also provide a familiar face in town for the MKs who are part of AGWM. In addition, this will allow the Assemblies of God more influence in the school, provide a place to train pastors, host retreats, and increase church planting efforts throughout Central Europe.
