In Albanian culture, if an organization doesn’t own property, it’s not considered legitimate or permanent. The new Durres Church building and community center will equip this growing congregation who is powerfully reaching their community, training workers, and planting new churches in Muslim communities.

DESCRIPTION:  This new three-story building will include an auditorium to seat over 400 people, as well as classrooms and offices. This will deliver over 19,000 sq. ft of ministry and community center space. The Durres Church not only serves the church congregation but also offers an after-school program, as well as feeding and medical outreaches. Many Muslim families have come to Christ as a result of these outreach programs.

BENEFITS:  After 50 years of communism and atheism written into law, Durres Church was the first church planted in Albania in 1992, after communism fell. As a result, this country is the most unreached in Europe, with 99% of the population never having heard the gospel! But there is hope! God is moving and the Durres Church is growing. The church has been in rented facilities for all these years, maxing out their space with 200 people. Now, with a building of their own, they will be positioned to increase their impact as they so powerfully reach the lost, disciple the found, train and send out workers, and plant new churches in Muslim communities through Albania.
