Italy
Italy | Bob Rose
The Italy Bible School has been a training ground for pastors throughout Italy for many years. The national church recently purchased this facility in a new location to accommodate space for more students. The Bible School currently has over 60 students, 40 of whom are housed onsite. Some of the students are just beginning their studies, while others are finishing doctorate degrees.
Description: The multi-story facility needs to be refurbished in order to make full use of the campus. The basement level needs to be completed in order to have more classrooms and meeting areas. All skill levels are needed in electrical, plumbing, tile-laying, and painting, as well as non-skilled volunteers.
Benefits: Training of new pastors and leaders is vital to the future of the Assemblies of God Church in Italy. The fastest-growing portion of the AG Church in Italy is that of refugees from northern Africa, which make up 10% of the church. Of the 57-million population in Italy, 5-million are refugees. The country has been very resistant to evangelism thus far, but there is new growth because of the response of refugees! Pastors need proper training to respond to this influx in order to effectively reach all of Italy with the Gospel!

Missionary Rose thanking the NY District Team
Greetings from Rome,
I am sure by now you are back to your normal activities, rested from the trip and have many stories to tell your friends.
I want to thank you with an extremely grateful heart for your commitment and sacrifice in coming to Italy to work on the Bible School facilities. What you have done for the Kingdom is well remembered by God and those who you served. Over the last 32 years in world missionary service, I have not seen a team function as well as your team did. The people at the Bible School are in awe of your willingness to serve their cause of training workers for ministry.
Your team leader, Gerard, need to be commended for his organizational planning and technical skills.
