Quibdo, Colombia, has remote groups that have created a culture of their own. Latin America Child Care’s vision is to directly associate outreach of the indigenous settlements with a large congregation. A good church is imperative.
DESCRIPTION: Not only is Quibdo, Colombia’s poorest province, but it also ranked as one of the poorest-in-churches. One church in ten is considered “somewhat adequate.” We plan to join AG missionaries already working with the nationals in Colombia.
BENEFITS: Upon completion of Quibdo School and Church, the spread of Christianity will be enhanced, bringing families together to hear the Truth of the Gospel. Pack your hammer and join a team that will accomplish God’s will for Colombia’s neglected people.

Great Report From Missionary Mike Lawerence!
Over the next couple of months, Missionary Mike Lawerence and his team will be pouring a slab over the first floor.
Thankfully, things are starting to open up and schools will be back in session on July 15th.
We are so excited about the substantial progress that will soon be made! Despite many challenges, nothing can stop the work of our God!

They Came From Where?
When you think of a typical missions trip, you likely picture a group of 10–20 Americans in neon yellow or vibrant green matching shirts, wheeling their luggage through the airport to catch a plane to a foreign land. Upon landing, they spend the next week sharing Jesus in some capacity.
Last weekend, a similar scenario took place in Santiago, Chile. However, instead of Americans getting off a plane in Chile, it was Chileans headed to Colombia for their very first missions trip!

From Chile to Quibdo
Earlier in March, Jim Mazurek and 9 team members from Chile traveled to work on the school and church in Quibdo. They have been a huge blessing to Mike Lawrence, Pastor Isaias and the rest of the crew in Quibdo!
