Morelia, the capital city of the State of Michoacan, is located in the Bajio District of Mexico. This area of Mexico is sometimes referred to as the “Heart of Darkness” because it is less than 2% evangelical Christians. Church planting is difficult because there are not enough pastors and leaders to help raise up new churches.
DESCRIPTION: Currently, students of the Morelia Bible Institute are meeting at extension sites throughout three different states across the Assemblies of God Bajio District. Upon completion, all students will come together in the new Bible school facility in a centralized location.
BENEFITS: Completion of the Morelia Bible Institute will allow for the training of new pastors and leaders from the Bajio District, as well as accommodating an increase in the enrollment. Students will be able to come together to worship, pray, study, and learn God’s word together as they prepare to take the Gospel throughout Mexico.

The outside of the building is being completed. This is the final phase to complete the construction of the building. It will be used to train ministers to reach to people in the Dark Heart of Mexico.

The Bible school's first floor has been completed! Additionally, the second-floor walls are finished and waiting for a roof to be put on. Altogether, it will cost $25,000 to install the roof.
In a city of less than 2% evangelical Christians, we believe we can make a difference. Let's build hope and finish strong in Morelia, Mexico!

The big blue RIBBON was CUT at the Morelia Bible Institute dedication service last weekend! This marks the official opening of the new Bible school facility in Morelia, Mexico. Students have previously been meeting in three extension campuses throughout the Bajio district.

Our very own David and Carolyn Huneycutt (previously missionaries to this area referred to as “The Heart of Darkness,” because less than 2% of the population are evangelical Christians) had a great hand in laying the groundwork for this vital project!

This is Julia and I with the Bible School students from Morelia in front of their new building that we have been working on for the last three years. With the extensions we currently have over 90 students enrolled. We are currently looking for more teams who would like to come down and help us build on the school. We still have one more floor to build and the chapel. If you can tile, install windows and doors, plumbing to install all the bathroom fixtures, we could use you. If you would like to contribute a financial blessing to the school to continue the construction it would be a huge blessing.
